Raise your hand if you knew August was sandwich month? An entire month to celebrate sandwiches. Yes, please. But can a sandwich be filling for a meat and potatoes man? In short yes. The recipe I am going to share today is made with shredded chicken to make it extra filling. It is a chicken parmesan sliders recipe.
Slider sandwiches are one of my favorite meals to make for dinner because they are usually easy and fast. Two of my favorites when cooking.
My kiddos also give this recipe a rav review. Hawaiian Rolls are used for the slider. This recipe comes together very fast. Perfect for those crazy weekdays.
Chicken Parmesan Sliders Recipe
Start with cutting the Hawaiian Rolls in half. Position the bottom portion of the roll in a pan and top with shredded chicken.
Add one pound of frozen skinless and boneless chicken in the Slow Cooker before work and by the time you get home it is cooked and can easily be shredded.
If you forget you can easily buy chicken that is already cooked and shred it when you get home.
Spread the chicken evenly throughout the pan. Top with your choice of spaghetti sauce.
Top with mozzarella cheese and the other half of the roll.
Once your rolls are ready to go into the oven. Mix together 2 tablespoons of butter and 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning.
Bake at 375 for about 10 minutes. Until the tops are golden brown. Be careful not to overcook. The rolls will turn very hard.
A delicious and fast dinner for your family! Yum! This is one of the very few recipes that I can make and the entire family eats without any special requests.
My only suggestion is that if you decide to make these buy TWO Hawaiian Rolls packages. Because your kiddos will steal the first one and eat it by the time you get home from work. Leaving you to go back to the store to buy another one 🙂
